This post is going out raw and from the heart. Typed as you read it, mistakes and without a once, or twice over..no proofreading
That is what my upcoming project in 2014 is about and not exactly why I am writing this. Today I went into do the audio/ interview of my project at Tandum and Still,
record my interview…not easy as I am not comfortable in front of a camera. I said ‘ Put me in front of an audience of 10,000 an I can speak…
Ian said -that would be easy us and for you….how important is this project…………
. even if you don’t feel comfortable..what is the project worth to you…. … I said ” I am ok with crossing the lines of sill photography.. but where did I
sign up to be a spokes person…. ok, so you get the pic…
the best part was that before I was leaving for the studio, I put a post on FB that said.
Heading out to do the final interview and filming for my up coming project in 2014…… not so sure about this being in front of the camera thing…….. I’ll be glad when its over.
When I go back, my mother, who is on FB, at first to keep “tack of me” so she knew “where I was ”
had mad the comment “You Go Girl”
That promoted this response –
Today was a big day!! some of you know that I have been working hard on a big, lifetime project starting in 2014. I announced earlier that I was leaving for the interview being filmed for the project….. it went great, but coming back and seeing my moms comment saying “you go girl”!!! well there are no words for the meaning of that….. ever…. I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!!! who have supported from day one when I came back from Africa almost a decade a go and said ” I am going to be a wildlife photographer and I am going to move there…… any one else get that…LOL… and my world change in ways I could never imagine…. so I must thank my Parents… Cindy and Jerry Mackay for being my rock through this most challenging, hardest, bring me to my knees, journey, but always being by my side…I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!!!!!!!
In my blog, to all of you that read this, may you all have one the lottery that I did when two incredible people chose to adopt me as their own. The story is much more complicated than that, but love, support, compassion, tradition, kindness, respect…….. these are the traits we should aspire to………..I have the courage and strength that I do to go on my up coming journey because there is no greater gift than one can give than love ……….
I wish you all well in your own journeys.
As artist, painters, dreamers, or whatever title suits you best, we can make this one way journey full of purpose with an impact of those coming behind us….. you do matter!!!
There really are no words to add to this heart felt, inspirational post. As a parent and a daughter, I couldn’t help but shed a tear or two as I read this blog entry. That’s what we do when we have no words;-) Thank you for sharing.
