Boat Sinking Movie-Tribes of the Omo

First lets be clear that I am a still photographer and have no desire to become a film maker.  Now many of  you are going to say – Thank Godness when you watch the video below

I have just discovered how to share iphone video’s with you.. meaning they are taken on my iPhone , uncut and not edited… hmmmm I should have discovered this  a year ago… just as I wanted  to write and share my stories through  this blog…. but… those thoughts never actually got written… is “got written” proper english… are my commas in the right place…. is this written in proper formate… Who made those rules? ..  Not a photographer out living a life of discovery………….

Those rules are made for those who want  to follow  the structural path… but  if you have been reading my blog post for awhile, you know that it has been a crazy an amazing journey and sometimes  the factor of spelling and grammar had not been my priority or strength…

I shot this with my iPhone on our most recent expedition to the Omo River.. a place I call home……

TIA– This is Africa…..

I would never put anyone in danger.. notice that I am laughing during the whole video…

We waited for the boat to be bailed out so we could get in and cross the river. When we got  into the boat there was a small hole that water was coming up from and as more of us climbed into the boat a we discovered there was a Larger  hole, but we were were on a mission……. to get across the OMO…. stories for the rocking chair………

we made it safely across…right Andy???

Take a risk

Live  your passion!!!

Thanks for the video. We just got back from OMO valley and Ethiopia. Love your pics. We did the Bull Jumping and voluntary beating of the women as a part of the “celebration”. That really takes video to demontrate. Need both to understand the culture.

I can vouch that we made it safely across and back so that we could visit a beautiful Daasanach village. The Omo River was in flood and when Piper suggested we cross in wooden canoes I wasn’t too keen, fearing it might be my last boat trip! Ever resourceful, Piper came up with the leaky motor boat alternative and she personally plugged the holes as well!

The trip with Piper was a fabulous adventure, this being one of numerous experiences I will never forget. Thanks Piper!

The fantastic thing about being able to produce
beats of your own is that you possess complete creative control
over the sound and feeling of the piece of music
you are making. When just at the start, do we really
want to dump that a lot of cash into much of our project.
