My trip to the Omo, like so many of my trips on the African continent, was incredible. It is here that I have experienced some of the kindest and most ornate people living in our beautiful world. I have once again have neglected my blog, in lue of life, and my understanding of it’s necessary or unnecessary deadlines, giving me an excuse to not post. So, I wanted to a least share with you some of the beautiful faces of the Omo, and hope it inspires you to seek out the beauty of our differences, and make you also want to explore and preserve what is right in our world.

Beautiful series Piper..Impossible to pick a fav though I keep going back to “Wondering!” Such a strong set, that really speaks to the viewer.
You have managed to – take my breath away, make me stop and think, but mostly? You have allowed me to feel… right down to my core, and then further deep into my heart, eventually and wholly captivating my soul. It is not every photographer who encapsulates the gift of what it truly is to be a photographer. More often than not it’s just a guy with a digital. And while quite often those very little inexpensive throw away camera’s have managed to surprise me with a really good shot or two as does the guy with the digital but you my dear? Have a gift, an enormous and beautiful heart that is so pure and rarely unique in it’s naivety while still managing to a formidable genius in business, design and sales. You bring to your art, your own soul and the way you see things. We the witness to your craft can only sit back and wonder? How did she do that? How did she grab that emotion and tell a story to me through space and through time moving me nearly to tears? Well, like your photographs Piper, you are a rare and wonderful beauty and I am just so incredibly grateful to know you and to call you my wonderful, awesome and always there for me….. Friend.
I love you.
Melissa
