I did not get a chance to post these prior to my departure and I know that many of you photographers have been waiting for this one. A photography of gear I brought for the trip, plus my tripod and wimberly, and ball head. I packed most of the camera’s and lenses in the camera bag, and all the rest in the the other large black duffle. The biggest challenge was packing up everything I owned, to put in storage, while also packing for this trip. I was shocked that I was able to condense all my gear and clothing for 6 months into 2 bags of 50lbs or less and my gear bag. So here is what my life looks like in a box and three bags.
Everything I own has been placed in a box and the lock turned on a past life.
The best packing tip, organize it in ziplock bags.
Two bags of gear and one bag of everything else, will be my life for the next 6 months traveling through Kenya, Ethiopia and Tanzania. Freedom from the stuff will allow me to focus on my craft and experience. I may just decided this is the best way to trek through life.
good luck with your trip!
